AMUSEMENTS. 1 PEOPLE’S DAY AT SHANNON. j JANUARY 2nd, 1928. NZ CHAMPIONSHIPS. HAKA & POL 1 MANAWATU’S OUTSTANDING ANNUAL EVENT. CASH PRIZES. - £35 CASH PRIZES. RULES. 1. Tlit 1 competitions shall be known as the Now Zealand Championship Halta and Poi respectively, and shall be competed for annually at Shannon on the first day of January in each year. 2. The teams in each case shall comprise not less than ten competitors. J. No competitor shall be eligible to compete m more than one team with the exception of the captain, who may act in that capacity to two or more teams.' 4. The decision of the Judges appointed by the committee shall be final. 5. The Shield in each event shall .carry a cash prize of £l2 10/. or such greater sum as the Committee may from time to time decide. 6. The runnfers up will receive a cash prize ,of £5 or such greater sum as the committee may from time to time cide7. The Shield shall be held by the winning team for a period of twelve months, but. must be returned to the Committee in good order and condition not later than November 30th in each year. 8. The holders of the Shield will be responsible for damage .to or loss of same, except by fire. 9. The Shields shall not be offered for competition except at the above time and place.
