DIXON CUP MATCH. LEVIN RETAINS TROPHY. , Levin bowlers successfully staved off a challenge from Manawatu on Saturday for the Dixon Cup, Which was won from Feilding on the previous Saturday. Messrs Eekersley, Spooner, Corbridgc and Radford (skip) comprised the rink from the Manawatu Club, while Messrs Hohlaway, Bull, Clements and Suhan (skip), were the holders who successfully defended the trophy, winning lay 28 to 17. Levin had the better of the game right through, though it was a well-fought one, and quite a little excitement was in evidence when the scores were close. The local Club have received challenges from seven other clubs and some very interesting games should result on the Levin Green.
