HEALTHY CHILDREN
With ordinary care most children can bei kept in good health. To give them proper appetites, there is no better plan than to allow them plenty of exercise and play ’in the. open air. Teach them to be regular in their habits, and let their diet be plain and nourishing. If the children are given rich and highly seasoned food, too many sweets, or allowed to eat between meals/ it is useless to expect them to eat heartily at their proper •meals. Growing boys and girls should not be allowed to study too much. They should have a little exercise between school and their home work. Boys, especially, need to be kept employed. Do not let them lounge about the house doing nothing. Keep them busy, if not at play, at some occupation which will requix-e mental exercise. -
