BOWLING.
The first round for the singles championship has been, completed. The following secured a win:—A. G. Mason, J. GagKardi, T. Shannon, G. Quarrie, T. Watterston, 11. Blaike, A. T. White, A. Morgan and H. Knowles. The losers were W. H. Gunning, W. Clayton, A. Blackwood, J. T. Bovis, C. Hook, C. Lee, T. Whibley and J. Aim. Owing to the green being unfit to play on last Saturday, the Manson and Barr match with a rink from Eketahuna was postponed until to-morrow (Saturday).
