THE JACOB BENEFIT.
As a result of the recent benefit a sum of over £4O has been handed to Mr H. Jacob, who was severely injured while playing football in Levin, and vvhdse services as skipper of the Horowhenua and Manawhenna teams were deemed worthy of recognition. In. addition the medical and hospital expensese were paid, and there is still a list unclosed with nearly £l4 on it. Mr J. W.. Rimniei - , treasurer of the Horowhenua/’Union, and a member of the Wanderers’ Committee, who acted as treasurer of the Fund, has prepared the following balance sheet.
