RACE DAY RECEIPTS.
INCREASES ON LAST/YEAR. Favourable returns have been received by the Levin JRacing Club from its annual gathering on Saturday. Increases are shown both in the gate receipts and the totalisator turnover, and it is estimated that the attendance ', was greater than that at last year's meet■ng by four or five hundred. The money put through the totalisator, £19,112, was £039 more than at the 192 G "meeting, while the gate receipts were £4lo>l6s as compnredvwith £385 14s—an increase of £25 2s.
