RECORD FOR DOMINION. : 1B The. annual return of sheepowners , ; jH and the number of sheep and lambs;' in each county on April 30, 192 G. and -fl 1927, was presented to Parliament .;■ yesterday. ; .^1 The number of sheep in 1926 was'-H 24,904,993, and this year 25.649 The figures for this year have beenJM only twice exceeded, namely, in 191S:JH when the number' was 26 538,302, JM and in 1919, when it was 25,828,5541 V^H Referring to the matter in House the Minister of (Hon. O. J. Hawken) said that season's increase in the sheep was the'best in New Zealand.JO| history.
