ABRAHAM AND WILLIAMS. - Messrs Abrahani and Williams, Ltd., report that, in spite of adverse weather, they offered quite a good yarding at the Levin sale, particularly of cattle. The tone of the cattle market showed a little improvement on late siales. They quote:— L Sheep.—-Fat shorn ewes 18s lid. Cattle.—Light fat bullocks £9 10s, light fat cows £4 2s 6d, tAVo and threeyear Hereford steers £5 6s, four-year P.A. and Shorthorn steers £6 10s, threeyear P.A. steers £5 17s, four and fiveyear bullocks £7 15s, yearling' bulls £3 12s 6d to £4 ss, yearling heifers £4 7s 6d to £5 2s 6d, pedigree Jersey bull 20 guineas. Pigs. —Small weaners 9s, sows in pigs £2 7s 6d to £3-*2s 6d, heavy porkers £2 17s 6d. LOAN AND MERCANTILE. ' The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report that at the Levin sale on Tuesday 'they offered a small entry of sheep, a full'yarding of cattle, and a medium yarding of pigs, to a good attendance -"of buyers. Competition was brisk and practically a clearance was effected at the following prices:— Sheep.—Ewes and lambs 32s 6d to ■l2s 6d, small hoggets 22s 6d. Cattle. —Fat cows £5, £6 10s, forward conditioned do. £3 5s to £4 7s 6d, store do. £2 to £2 17s 6d, 3-year steers £5 17s 6d, 2-year do. £4 15s, yearling do. £3 10s, vealers 35s to £3 10s, store heifers £3 2s 6d to £3 15s, well-bred yearling Jersey heifers £5 to £6, do. in poor condition; £3 6s 6d, coloured yearling heifers 3os to £2 10s, bulls £3 12s 6d to £6 10s, springing heifers £7 to £9 15s, 'cows, close to profit £lO to £ll 15s.
