"LONG PANTS." . ' t With five leading ladies, a Rolls Rovce and a bicycle. Harry Langd.on had the making of plenty of romance for "Long Pants," to be shown on Wednesday. Priscilla Bonner is one of the I main causes of romance. Alma Bennett, silky vamp, is another. Reversing the usual course'of ambitious youth, Harry switched from a Rolls Royce to a bicycle, overnight. The Rolls had been easy to secure; there is no dearth of expensive motor cars in Hollywood. But it took the property man more than a week to locate a bicycle old enough to serve the purpose, and still able to navigate. Although rich in boy and girl romance, with, moments of heavier fervour, the story is based on a mother love theme. Gladys Brock well plays Harry's- mother and Albert Roscoe his father. The place is San Francisco; the time is before and after the famous fire.
"THE GORILLA HUNT." A special picture ; coming to Shannon as advertised for Thursday and Friday is "The Cforilla Hunt," a sensational , drama of the jungle in which cannibals, pigmies and gorillas play" a big part. In this film one sees the brains oiVman matched against the cunning and ' ! -strength of the great ape. One thrill after another keeps the audience on the alert right through the picture, which gets right away from the ordinary type of film. There will'be a matinee on Thursday afternoon.
