MANGAHAO SUPPLIES TO BULK CONSUMERS. Figures arc given in the Public Works statement, showing the increases chat have taken place in a year in the demand by the different, supply authorities obtaining power in bulk from the Mangahao hydro-electric works. The output, for the quarter%ended June 30, 1927, showed an increase over the corresponding quarter of 1021 of 23 per cent., or from 17 to 21 million units, in round figures. The percentage increases in the disposal of current over the same period are as under: —Ilorowlienua 23, Hutt Valley 62, Meat-works 80, Railway Department 82, M.anawatuOroua 59, Dannevirke 28, Tararua 57, Wairganui-Rangitikei 168, Central Hawkes Bay 88.

Wellington and Wairarapa exhibit a slight decrease. Hawkes Bay is a new bulk consumer, with 353,929 units for the quarter.
