WEDDING BELLS

• JAMIESON—COAKLEY. A pretty wedding, was solemnised at Yen. Bede’s Church on Wednesday evening when Irene, the eldest daughter of Mr and. Mrs E. Coakley, of Shannon, was married to Frank, second son of Mr., and Mrs T. F. Jamieson, of Kara Road, Shannon. The Rev. A. J. Farnell officiated and Miss Kitty Williams, of Tokomavu, presided at. the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, was prettily attired in a frock of ivory crepe de chine, beaded with crystal, wearing an embroidered net veil arranged with a coronet of interlaced pea:ls and orange blossoms. Bhe carried a bouquet of creme roses,

white stocks and palest pink cyclamen and maiden hair fern with long white satin streamers. She was attended bv her sister, Miss D. Coaklev, whose frock was* of lavender crepe de chine

and‘silver lame, and Miss M. Jamieson, sister of the bridegroom, who wore a frock of pale green taffeta and silver lame. Both carried bouquets of lilac and sweet peas with pink satin ribbon streamers, each wearing a string of pearls, the gift of the bridegroom. The train bearers were little Miss Lloryian Lankshear in frilled pink silk and Mas-

ter Kenneth Coaklev in black velvet. Mr 11. Robinson attended the bridegroom as best man, and Mr E. Satherlcy as groomsman. A reception was afterwards held at the Parish Hall at which a large number of guests were present, the bride’s mother," Mrs Coakley, receiving the guests. She was attired in a Palma violet ami fawn repp coat frock, and carried a bouquet of autumn tinted

roses and poppies. Mrs Jamieson, the mother of the bridegroom, was attired

in navy repp, crepe de chine ensemble with hat to match, and carried a bouquet of red roses and crimson cyclamen. The happy couple were the recipients of a fine lot of valuable and useful presents. Mr and Mrs Jamieson afterwards left by car for New Plymouth where the honeymoon will be spent. The bride’s travelling costume was a saxe blue repp ensemble costume with blue and.fawn hat and fawn shoes and stockings.
