LEVIN STOCK MARKET.
At the Levin stock sale yesterday there was a good attendance of the public, and improved prices were realised for dairy cattle, there being a keen demand for cows coming into profit. A fair number of cattle were yarded, but sheep and pigs were in poor supply. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report having effected sales at the following prices:— Sheep.—Shorn fat wethers, 23s 9d. Cattle. —Store cows 27s 6d to £3, fat cows £3 12s fid to £5 15s, empty twoyear heifers £3 10s, yearling heifers £4 10s to £4 12s, bulls £4 2s tid, £6 and £6 10s, springing heifers £7 10s ,to £B, springing cows £9 5s to £ll 10s. Pigs. —Weaners 255, stores 23s fid to 26s fid.
