Racegoers in Sydney received another shock when Silvius was relieved of his engagement in the Caulfield Cup. As the result of four successive wins in South Australia., Silvius advanced to the position of second favourite to Commendation for the Caulfield Cup. and his withdrawal will mean another windfall to many ante-post book-mak-ers.
