WELL-CONDUCTED TOURS.

Mr M. Ryder, who managed the Horowhenua third-grade reps, on their visit to Marton, expressed his thanks to the Ilorowhenua Rugby Council at the meeting of that body Wednesday, and expressed appreciation of the way in which the team had been selected. He stated that the players were a really good side and they playod a wonderful game against Rangitikei. A vote of thanks was passed to Mr Ryder for his services as manager; also to Mr J. W. Procter for his services in a similar capacity with the junior reps. who visited Wanganui. Mr F. Robinson, manager of the Manawhenua team, conveyed his thanks to the selectors of that combin-ation—-Messrs M. Winiata and J. Ryan —and staled that during the whole tour, of live weeks' duration, there had not been a word of discontent, illfeeling or complaint. The conduct of the members of the team had been everything that could be desired.
