GOLF NOTES.
SHANNON v MANAWATU. Next Saturday the return match Avith a ManaAvatu team Avill be played at Palmerston North. The following have been selected to represent Shannon: —Blyth, GoldAvin, Murray, Saxon, Morgan, Jones, McKenzie, Gagliardi, Johnston, Stern, BlaekAvood, Burgis, OaldAvcll.
Lunch will be provided at the golr house at 12.30 p.m., play to commence at 1 p.m. Cars Avill be leaving Shannon as arranged. Any of the above players not able to traA r el Avill oblige by notifying the president Mr. A. R. Blackwood," or Mr. A. Saxon, as soon as possible. It may also be pointed out that local rules at ManaAvatu are not as elastic as our oavji. Players should therefoie acquaint themselves Avith the loeal rules Avhich Avill be found on the back of the scoring cards.
