MIRANUI V. HUI MAI.

The Miranui team journed to Manakau on Saturday where they mot Hui Mai. The game was a ragged one, Ilui Mai fielding a very weak team, while Miranui only gave flashes of good football. At half time the score was Miranui 13, Hui Mai nil. Tries ivere scored by Vertongen and Crawford, Picard converting the latter’s. In the second half Farrell and Crawford scored tries, bqth of which were converted by Picard, who also attempted to pot a goal from the field. Bevan scored a good try for Hui Mai, which was not converted. Among the Hui Mai backs Bevan was the outstanding player, while Humphries, Crawford and Picard were the pick of the Miranui backs, Vertongen being the best forward on the ground. Mr N. Kingi controlled the game.
