“Cases of scarlet fever are considerably on the decrease,” stated the chairman (Sir Jas. Wilson), at yesterday’s -meeting of the Palmerston North Hospital Board, “and those admitted recently are not of the same serious nature as the first admissions.” “Diphtheria,” he -added, “is also very much on the decline, the number of cases at the hospital at the present -time being only four.”
