(i.e. after April 30th) in at Is 4d per lb. f.o.b. Cheese. Gradings for the season can be .valued at approximately per lb. f.o.b. on ordinary trade terms, less the usual shrinkage. Whey Butter. The value of Ist grade Is 2d per lb. f.0.b., with second grade Id per lb lower. It will be realised that the above are estimated values but we consider they are fairly conservative. SIBERIAN AFFECTED BY SOVIET RUPTURE. The Dairy Control Board has received advice that the market for New Zealand butter firmed towards the end of last week. The market is being affected by the position of imports of Siberian beiug doubtful owing to the action of the British Government. The Argentine tail-end season is reduced by weather conditions,'Canada has reduced production, and Northern Hemisphere butters are not showing the increases anticipated. Germany is not competing with England in the meantime for Baltic States butters owing to increased prices offered here. English production is 'increasing and will probably reach its maximum in the next fortnight. In Fr.ince, the market is firm, and there are no imports from France in the meantime. . New Zsaland is quoted: Salted, 16Ss to 3 70s, unsalted 174 s to 180 s, representing an advance of 6s for the week. Ne»v Zealand and Danish is retailing at Is 8d per lb. Other quotations, are as follows: Australian: Finest salted, 162 s to 1665; unsalted, 166 s to 1725. Argentine: Finest 162 s to 1665. Irish: Creamery, 166 s to 168 s; unsalted, 1745. Dutch: 162 s to 1645. Siberian: 160 s. Danish: 166 s to 168 s. New Zealand cheele is quoted: White S7s to 925, coloured 88s to 945. No new season's Canadian has yet arrived.
