LEVIN STOCK MARKET.
YESTERDAY’S SALE. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report: At Levin sale on Tuesday, they received a small entry of sheep and a medium yarding of cattle and a total clearance was effected at th<e 'following prices: Sheep.—Medium fat ewes 17/6, mixed aged ewes in lamb 17/, medium lambs 14/7. Cattle. —Medium fat cows £4 to £4 18/, forward condition cows £2 10/ to £3 5/, store cows 35/ to 45/, good year steers £4 15/, weaner heifers 21/ to 30/, bulls £3 to £5 10/, springing heifers £7.
Pigs.—Medium porkers £2 7/6 to £2 13/, light porkers 38/ to 45/, good stores £1 to £1 13/, choppers 30/ to £3 10/.
Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd. report having received a medium yarding of cattle and pigs which were disposed of at the following prices: Sheep.—Medium lambs 13/4.
Cattle.—Fat cows £3 15/ to £4 15/ steers £3 11/, heifers r.w.b. £3, empty cows £2 9/ to £2 11/, store cows 31/ to £2.
Pigs.—Medium porkers £2 1/6 to £2 10/-, heavy porkers £2 9/- to £3, stores 26/ to 32/6.
