CROQUET.
On Wednesday last, ten members of the Shannon Croquet Club paid a by members of the Manakau Club and Club where a most enjoyable time was 8P The visitors were heartily welcomed by members of the Manakkau Club and were entertained to morning and afternoon tea and luncheon. Mrs Aim, President of the Shannon Club, thanked the home team for the welcome" accorded and for the bountiful supplv of good things provided, a:id said that it was such gatherings that went to foster the grand game o± croquet. Friendly short games were indulged in during the day which resulted in the Manakau Club holding mos. of the honours". A return visit will be paid to tne Shannon Club on Wednesday next.
