OTAKI’S SPOTTING WEEK.
LARRIKINISM CAUSES DEFICIT. A meeting of the business men of Otaki -was held at- the -Lyyie theatre on - Friday night, Mr. H. JV Wyatt presiding. The secretary (Mr. E. S. Morse) S reported a deficiency of about £ls i n , regard to the recent spotting week, more than half of -which was caused by i larrikins stealing or destroying flags. i After discussion; it was' decided to make a levy of 15s lon each business , man to defray the amount owing, while . votes of thanks were accorded -albhelpers, other than retailers, also Mr. j Morse (secretary) and the executive for wbffcr done. . .
