WEDDING BELLS.

The Avedding took place at the Shannon Presbyterian Church on Wednesday afternoon, of Allison Ethel, young C3t daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Johu Aitehicson, of Ballance St., Shannon, and Chris,iJeram, son of Mr and Mrs W. T. Hodge,' late of Hawera. The ceremony Avas performed by Rev. A. F. Stewart- The bride, who was given aAvay by, her father, looked very dainty in a frock of "White crene de chine with ninon sleeves, and satin shoes and stockings to match. She Avore the orthodox veil with a coronet of orange blossoms, and carried a bouquet of lilies and roses She was attended by her niece. Miss EtheY Aitchison, of Martinborough, as bridesmaid, the latter wearing a frock of apricot "French crepe de eheiie i&ith. picket drapings Avith hat to match, and gold shoes and stockings. She also Avore a pretty rope of pearls. Her bouquet Avas of roses „ and lilies. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr. Cecil Dundas, of Mangahao. After the ceremony a reception was held at Roach’s tearooms, when the usual toasts A\ T ere honoured. The bridegroom’s present to the bride Avas a gold ■wristlet watch and to the bridesmaid a gold armlet. Among those present AA'ere Mrs). John Aitchison, mother of the bride, wearing a frock of brown floral moroeain with black hat and furs, Mrs. Hodge, mother of the bridegroom, brown silk frock Avith hat to njateh. Mrs. .Adam Aitchison (Martinborough) navy blue frock and'bi aided hat, Mrs. Graham (Woodville) floral crepe de chine and black hat, Mrs Moody, (Linton) chocolate shade crepe de chine Avith hat en suite; Miss Moody (Linton), kearlet crepe de chine frock, with cream hat; Mrs Hodge jun., navy blue and grey hat to tone; Mrs J. Aitehicson, floral crepe de chine dress . Avith black hat. Later in the afternoon the happy couple left on their honeymoon, which Avill be spent in the South.
