He contended they had not received fair treatment last season. The. chairman said the formation of a senior B team had not been considered. ' Mr Fitzgerald then moved and Mr Moore seconded, "That a senior. B team be formed,.'' Mr W. Moynihan said he hoped the movers would speak to the motion. He said there were not enough senior players in the Club to run two teams. II there were, the best men would naturally be selected for the A team. Mr Fitzgerald said they would play for what team they liked. Otherwise they were going to join up with another Club. Mr Curran pointed out that the at titude they were taking up was gohiL to kill football in Shannon. When questioned on points relating in their proposal, both Messrs Fitzgerald and Moore refused to give civil re plies, with the result that amidst :i general uproar Mr Hennessey said that if there was any one in the room win •lid not wish to belong to the Club they should retire. At this Mr Fitzgerald and Mr Moore left the room, followed by several others. The nexl business Avas then proceeded with. In connection with the above matter Mr D. He said In wished to emphatically contradict it, as he had had nothing to do with the matter in any shape or form. GENERAL. ' It was stated that it was doubtful it a fourth grade team/would be avail able, owing to the age limit. On the motion of Mr Curran it was decided that it ue a recommendation to tin; lln-'on that the present age Hmit for the fourth grade be removed, as if it is allowed to remain as it is, it is going to discourage boys who wish to follow the game. "> It was resolved that the subscription be the same as last year, viz: Seniors and juniors 5/-, thirds 2/6, fourth*? 1/-, and an insurance fee of 2/6 each Also that the Club's colours be the same as last year and each player purchase his own jersey. In reply to a question, the secretary stated that last season there were only 35 financial members out of a total membership of 60. Only ten seniors were financial.
The secretary was instructed to collect subscriptions and insurance fees from players after two weeks' grace, before allowing them to take the field again. It was resolved that it be a recommendation to the Borough Council that the football ground at the Domain be kept in order by cutting the grass the same as was done for cricket. The meeting then terminated.
