SHANNON ATHLETIC CLUB'S MEETING.

SATURDAY NEXT. Arrangements are well forward for the holding of the above club's fixture in the Domain on Saturday next. Lntries for the cycling, field and axemen s events closed last evening, and on the whole are highly satisfactory. The cycling events, as is usual, drew largo entries while the number of entries received for field events is much larger than for the previous meeting. The axemen's events have not filled too well, but a number of late entries are expected. In the different events there are some first class performers and some interesting finishes should be witnessed. Favoured with fine weather the meeting should be an unqualified success.
