MIRANUI NOTES.

(From Our Own Correspondent). - Mr. and Mrs. Seifert, Mr. and Mrs. E. Brown and Mrs. Richardson (Miranui) left on a fortnight's tour by car to Rotorua, gping by way of New Plymouth and returning via Gisborne.

Messrs A. and L. Seifert are putting in a decorated lorry in the procession at the Jubilee celebrations at Palmerston North, on Wednesday, March 3rd, which will be decorated with flax, bales, hemp and fibre. We are now running nine strippers; seven on day and two on night shift, and solely on hook cut flax. A very enjoyable tennis afternoon was spent at Miranui on - Saturday. There were visitors from Mangahao, Levin and Palmerston. Miss Seifert, the citizens' queen for Jubilee celebrations, was present with her parents.
