ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The half-yearly installation of officers of the Otaki Lodge took place on Friday, 14th. There was a splendid attendance of members ' and visiting officers. The D.D.G.M., Bro. Daines, assisted by Bro. West, P.G.," and Bro. Booth, P.G. (of Levin), ably installed into their respective offices the following officers: —Past Grand, Bro. Small; Noble Grand, Bro. Askew; Vice-Grand, Bro. Walter Taylor; secretary, Bro. H. Taylor - (re-elected); Treasurer, Bro. Thompson; Warden, Bro. Irving: Conductor, Bro. Hill; R.S.S., Bro. Looser; L.S.S., Bro. Macalister; R.S. to. N.G., Bro. Furse; L.S. to N.G., Bro. Wm. Taylor; R.S. to V.G., Bro. Box; L.S. to V.G., Bro. Churchill; 0.G., Bro. Ken. Taylor; 1.G., Bro. Gillespie. After the impressive installation ceremony was completed a presentation of a Past Grand's jewel was made to Bro. Harold Small. The D.D.G.M., Bro. Daines, in making the presentation Oil behalf of lodge members, eulogised Bro. Small's services rendered to the Otaki Lodge for the past 12 months. Bro. Small, who was received with musical honours, suitably responded. After the visiting officers from Wellington and Levin made speeches on the benefits of the order, the lodge closed, after which all officers and brothers partook of supper, which terminated a very successful meeting.
