THE BENNETT BUTTONS A match fcr the Bennett Buttons waf played on the Levin Croquet Club's lawn on Monday, between representa tives of the Levin Club (holders) and the Northern Club from Palmerston. Th-j result was a win for the home players, Mrs Kirk (4) and Mrs Hall (6|), who scored 26 to the 18 scored bv Mrs Young (3£) and Mrs Hodgson (7). .This is the eighth game in succession won by Mrs Hall and Mrs Kirk. In this competition an A and a B player play together. Mra Hall, whose- handicap has been reduced from 7£ to 6£, has now neen made an A player and cannot play any longer in the Buttons contest, from which she retires undefeated.. Her place will be taken by Mrs Plaster (8) in the next match, to be played on Monday morning. * POLLOCK STARS. Yesterday a match was played at Le vin for the Pollock Stars, between the local Club and Takaro.. The result was a win for the visitors, Mrs Little John and Miss McFarland defeating Mrs Kirk and Mrs Nicholson by 26 to 15. The Levin players will go to Palmerston again for the inter-Club n-.at-ches on Thursday, January 20th..
