SHOPPING IMPOSSIBLE. LONDON, Dec. 18. Fashionable women who have been aeeustomed to leisurely shopping expeditions in the West End in their limousines resent the imposition of a parking limit of 10 minutes. The house of Paquin protests that, it is impossible for madame to choose a new frock in such a few moments she cannot do more than glance at one model in that . time. Yvonne Arnaud, the French actress, who made her biggest success in England in “The Girl in the Taxi,” says that . the time between and leaving a shop is indeterminable, as anyone accustomed to a woman’s shopping knows. Male commentators seem to think that Yvonne meant “interminable.” Harrods, the big stores, argue that a woman buying a dress hurriedly would spend lie remainder of the day in anguish, knowing that she might look a perfect frump.
