KITCHEN COOLNESS.

A PENN'ORTH OF FAN. Few people with power points in their homes would dream of shivering all through the winter because of the costliness of a radiator. But how many people think of installing an electric fan in* the kitchen, to provide a cooling' draught throughout the hot summer days? A radiator eats up much more current than a fan, but the latter is just as necessary in its season. A radiator costs about 2d an hour to run, but a 10-inch fan can be run continuously all day for a penny. \And, think of the comfort that penny will Imy!

If a fan is to be installed in the house, do n not limit it to the livingroom—remember the discomforts of cooking a hot meal on a summer's day, and put the fan in the kitchen, where it will prove most valuable.
