Buck has just staged an unsucces ful though sensational hold-up of the bank and is’making his escape from the sheriff and his posse when Bill meets him. Bill incurs the enmity of Buck and Avar is declared betAvcen the, two. v Bill learns that Buck intends kidnapping Bose Weldon, whose father has discovered a gold mine. Bill attempts to foil the kidnapping and in the fight that follows lie is wounded and captured. Avith Rose. They, hoAvever, make their escape. Buck again attempts to hold up the bank, and in the fight that follows most of his gang are killed, but he escapes with Bill iu close pursuit. Bill folloAys , his trail through the wild mountain country and after many thrilling-and , uarroAV escapes from death, finally catches up Avith Buck. . They meet iu a saloon and there fighc it out in a hand-to-hand encounter. The sheriff intercedes and arrests Buck, Avho, ; hoAvever, makes a daring eseape, with Bill close behind. - -icy again meet on a mountain road and in the fight both fighting on the Avay down into the water lose their balance on the cliff and fall, 200 feet below.
