WEDDING BELLS.
CROWTHERr—DAVIS. The wedding was solemnised at Ven. Bede’s Anglican Church on Wednesday of James, third son of Mrs Crowther, of > East road, who was united in the bonds <if holy matrimony to Olive Muriel, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs W. Davis, of Sheehan Street, the . ceremony being performed by the Rev.* Farnell. The - bride, who was given away by her father, was charmingly attired in a frock of cream brocaded crepe de chene, with shoes and stockings to match. She wore the customary veil and coronet of orange blossoms, which were becomingly arranged and carried a pretty shower bouquat. She was attended by her sister, Miss Evelyn Davis, as bridesmaid, the latter’s frock being a mauve crepe de chine. She wore a nicely-ar-ranged veil and carried a bouquet of mauve daisies and asparagus fern. Mr ;Carl Stern, of Buckley, carried out the duties of oest man. After the ceremony a reception was held at 'the home of the bride’s parents, , Mr and Mrs Davis, in Sheehan Street, there being about fifty guests present. The young couple were the recipients efi many useful and handsome presents and felicitous messages were received from a large number of friends. The bridegroom’s gift to the bride was ft. gold pendant and to the bridesmaid a gold brooch. .
