Purdy, the Auckland lightweight, who was matched by the Manawatu Boxing Association „to meet Trowern for the Dominion lightweight championship and Truth belt, decided that lie was not able to fulfil the arrangement. The Manawatu Association promptly cabled to Baymond Jansen, the Trench lightweight, who is in Sydney, offering him a fight with Trowern. A reply is now being awaited.
