LEVIN SHOPPING WEEK.
The ! Shopping Week Carnival, initiated by Levin business men and which commenced last Saturday, attracted a considerable number of visitors to Levin during the afternoon and evening, the streets being thronged with a lively crowd busily engaged in hooking out the "gifts" that are awaiting claimants. - In this connection the committee desire to point out that Shannon residents are invited-to participate, as 40Q householder folders .have been sent t-> Shannon for distribution, and one in every thirty folders carries a gift. Altogether 3000 circulars or folders bearing numbers have been distributed throughout the Horowhenua County and Foxton, and as Levin quota was between SOO and 900 only, consequently the bulk of the prizes are allocated' to the outside residents. '
