Large gatherings of enthusiastic ladies haA'c been on the green all the Aveek past, and on Saturday Mesdames LaurA r ig and Baird' played Mesdames Franks and McLaughlin for the Club Pins. The holders just managed to keep the coveted trophies after a exciting match ending 26—23. Several indies journeyed to Levin on Monday niofining to AvitnesS a ■match for the Benhett Buttons between Levin (the holders) and a pair from 'Palmerston North. They report a most enjoyable day and speak highly of the ■hospitality cf the Levin Croquet Club.
