YESTERDAY’S LEVIN SALE. The chief feature of Tuesday’s Levin stock sale was Die large entry of cattle, which, however, was in backward condition and did not appeal to buyers. Very few sheep were offered. The auctioneers report as follows: . ABRAHAM & WILLIAMS., LTD.’ There was an average "yarding of pigs, weaners realising 15s, I6s to 19s, stores 25s to 365, porkers £2 ss, £2 14s, ’ £3 to £3 10s. Sh*'ep: Practically nothing offered. A large yarding of cattle came forward but they were not keenly competed for. The following are the prices obtained: Pat cows £6 15s to £7, vealers £2 to £3, 2-year Hereford steers £4 16s, ■ 2-year Hereford heifers £3 4s, yearling Herefords, mixed sexes £2, mixed sex Polled Angus yearlings £2 15s, 2 and 3year steers 1 £3 15s to £5, 4-year bullocks £7 15s, empty cows £2 7s to £2 1.2 s 6d, dairy heifers (springing) £6 ss. N.Z. LOAN & MERCANTILE AGENCY CO., LTD. At Levin yards on Tuesday, 9tb. inst. we offered to a good attendance a full yarding of cattle and a small entry of sheep. The demand for cattle was dull, but in most cases vendors were prepared to meet the market and the bulk of the yarding changed hands at the fallowing prices:— Sheep: Medium fat ewes 245, fat and forward condition cows £2 10s to £3 10s, forward condition hoggets 265. Cattle: Medium fat eows £5 to £5 10s, store cows 22s 6d to £2, 3-year coloured steers £5 7s 6 to £5 10s, 2-year steers £4 to £4 6s, yearling steers £3 11s, yearling Jersey cross heifers £2 2s 6d to £3 coloured do. 25s to 40s, good Jersey bulls £4 to £B.

Pigs.—Porkers v £2 12s to £3 6s, store pigs 27s to 355, weaners 12s to 14s.
