'' The severe frost of October 13th will mean a serious loss to orchardists throughout Nerv Zealand. Practically the whole of the stone fruit crops have been destroyed. E%en grapes that Avere being grown under glass had received a decided cheek and the crop is only expected ,to yield about half of last year’s output. The small fruit such as currants and gooseberries have also been affected, but raspt urries and loganberries'have withstood damage.
