VACANCIES ON COUNCIL.
Up to the hour of goirg to press only one nomination, that of Mr Harold Hook, has been received for one of the three vacancies on '.he Borough Council, nominations for ,*tuch close at noon to-day. A fcav days tgo the names of no less than seven candidates were mentioned as likely to contest the vacancies, so no doubt 1 y the Lour of closing other nominal ions should, come forward. The ele«;*un ; if necessary, Avill take place on Thursday next, November 4th.
