BASKET BALL.

Tavo teams of girls from tlie Shannon school visited Foxton on Friday and tried conclusions Avith teams from the District High School. The Shannon teams were in charge of Miss Sinclair. The Shannon A team defeated Foxton by 39 to nil, the# B team being defeated by 10 to 8. After the games the visitors were entertained to afternoon tea. The captain of the Shannon A team, on behalf of the visitors?, thanked the Foxton girls for their hospitality and called for cheers for Foxton and the referee, Miss James, Levin D. 11.5. Mr Mason, headmaster, in responding said they Avert? pleased to receive a Adsit from the Shannon basket ball girls, and he hoped during the summer to have a visit from a school tennis team from Shannon.
