BASKET BALL.

A very pleasant-inter-school game was played on Saturday on the Shannon School ground between representative teams from Foxton and Shannon. The' Foxton teams were in charge' of Mrs Stanley and Miss Leslie. In the A team contest Shannon A beat Foxton A, whilst the B contest resulted in a draw. Miss Jones ably controlled he game. At the close of the games morning tea was dispensed. After, this pleasant function Miss Sinclair addressed a few words to the visiting teams to which Miss Leslie suitably responded. On Saturday next a match: will be played at Shannon against tcorns from Levin.
