GOLF.
The Shannon golf players came to Levin on Saturday and suffered defeat, by a considerable margin. In all, twenty games were played, 12 men's and 8 ladies', Levin proving victorious in 8 of the men's and 7 of the ladies' matches, one being halved.- Results, Levin mentioned first, were:— Men.—M. J. Sulian beat Goodwin, G' C France beat Morgan, C. R. Hosie halved with F. Murray, K. E. Adams won from Gagliardi, J. D. Brown beat Jones, W. Smaill lost to Spencer, J. ChalHes lost to J. Murray, W Bull \vm from Johnstone, C Sherwood won from Burgess, A. Free won from Blackwood, J. Marsh lost to Moody, J. Aitken won from King. ladies.—Mrs C. Porter won from Mrs Saxon, Mrs W. M. Clark won from Mrs Johnstone, Mrs D. S. Mackenzie lost to Miss Saxon,-Mrs P. IT Harper won from Miss Sinclair, Mrs* W. S. Park won from Miss Cole, Miss T. Marsh won from Mrs Cronquest Mrs J. D. Adams won from Miss Jones, Miss M. Bevan won from Miss Caldwell.
