FALL FROM AEROPLANE.
SEASIDE VISITOR KILLED. While a pleasure-flight aeroplane was about 1000 feet above Morecambe sands (England) crowds on the promenade and foreshaw saw a man fall from the machine on to a mussel bed. The man, who is believed to have been a visitor from Leeds, was killed instantly. An eye-witness said to a reporter: "The aeroplane seemed to be banking up when a man's h it came whirling down, and immediately afterwards a man fell over the side of the pit and crashed down." The machine, whkh was piloted by Mr. S. Summerfield, of Morecambe, carried another passenger, a woman. Mr. S. Summerfield stated that as he was descending from a height of 1000 feet he saw the mi n disappear over the edge of the pit. * The man and wo-nan. entered the aeroplane together, und the man paid both fares amounting to £l. As the woman left the scer.e after the accident the police stated that they would be glad if she would come forward to help establish the man's identity. The man waJs more than 60 years of age and well dres.sed. In his possession the sum of £7 in notes and cash was found, but there was no clue to his identity or place of residence.
