and the postmistress there., was asked whether she was aquainted with anyone who might be able to supply information likely to lead to the identification. The postmistress was a distant relative of a soldier in the Royal Scots Regiment who fought at 2ionchy-le-Preux, being first reported missing and later presumed killed. She went to the parents ot the so.dier, and when the facts e.’ere revealed tliey at once , realise d that the body was that of their son, Private J. W. Stevenson, remembering that they sent the postal order to him. A metal wristlet watch was also found on tha body, similar to the one possessed by Stevenson.
