CROQUET CLUB.

The annual meeting of members .of the Shannon Croquet Club was • held in the Pavilion on Wednesday i afternoon. Present: Mrs Clayton ! (president) and Mesdames WattersI ton, McLauchlin, Mason, Baird, i Franks, Blaikie and Laurvig. j The balance sheet which was read ! and adopted showed a credit balance of £7. : The President in giving an outline of the games played during the past season, mentioned that members had benefited by the playing of inter-club matches. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Mrs ‘ Aim; vice-president, Mrs Watterston; secretary and treasurer, Mrs J. S. Spencer; assistant-secretary and club captain, Mrs A. Mason; committee, | Mesdames Baird, Franks, McLauch--1 lin, Clayton and Roach, j VOTES OF THANKS. ! Votes of thanks were accorded the i retiring president, Mire- Clayton, to Mr Clayton for assistance in rolling green, etc.; also to Mrs Capes, and to Mr and Mrs F. W. Brown for ,their untiring energies on behalf of the* Club since its inception, and to Mr C. C. Franks for his generosity in providing cars for the conveyance of members to inter-club matches.
