THREE YEARS FOR CAR STEALING
AUCKLAND, August 16. Edward Henry Leedharn Quintal, aged 20, pleaded guilty in the Police Court to converting to his use a motor car valued at £250, the property of Alwyn Keegan. Accused, a married man, had served three months for a similar offence. The PoliceSergt. commented on the large number of cars stolen and added, “These men who take cars are now starting to burn them.” . * Quintal was sent to< the Institute for three years.
