NOTICE is hereby giv i.i that the Shannon Borough Council, ior the purpose of enabling' ulie said' Council to undertake and cany cut alterations, extensions, additions and renovations to-the Municipal Buildings and to erect a Ladies’ Rest Room, propose to raise a special loan or £7OO. ait a rate of interest not exceeding six per cent, per annum, and a sinking fund'' of one per centum. And for the purpose of providing for the repayment of the loan and for the repayment of Interest charges thereon to appropriate and pledge as security, a special rate not exceeding l-10th of a penny in the pound on the rateable value ol all rateable property in the Borough of Shannon, comprising the whole of the said Borough on the Basis of' the capital value, such rate to be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and to be made and levied by resolution of the Council to be passed after the said special loan has been agreed to by the ratepayers. The whole of the loan is to be repaid at the expiry of ten years from the date of raising the same. It is proposed to pay out of the Loan money the cost- of raising tiie loan and the interest and sinking fund for. the first year during the construction of the work.
