HAMILTON ANNOYED. HAMILTON, June U. Across the subway entrance to one of Hamilton’s prettiest [residential areas, the Railway Department has painted a hideous sign in yellow and red, advertising a certain commodity. The town has risen in protesi against this disfigurement, and, in answer to representations from various local bodies, the department this morning sent one of its officials to inspect and report on the sign. The official visited the River Road, in company with borough councillors and members of the Beautifying Society, and, after hearing arguments for its removal, promised to report to the Department on the matter.
