TENTERFIELD, June 16,

William Lauder, a well-known wine licensee of Tenterfield, was found guilty at the Police Court on a charge of selling liquor at Bungulta on May 28 last, the night oil which John Harold Harvey was killed, and was fined £4O/

The Police Magistrate (Mr Perry) in imposing the fine, said that a person who took wine to a country dance for selling purposes was a menace to the. community, and he intended to make an example of the case before him.

In evidence defendant admitted that his car was known as. “the poison cart.”
