GOLF NOTES.
ONE-CLUB MATCH TO-MORROW.
Members of the local club are reminded of the single club match tomorrow afternoon. No doubt there will ibe a foig variety of clubs used, from putters to drivers, and q!u,ite a number of players will be surprised at the good scores they will secure and they will wonder why they burden themselves with a bag of from three to a dozen clubs when a single mid-iiron can do the work quite as effectively l . Play will commence at 1 p.m. and will be over nine holes. The rest of the afteroon may be spent in friendly play. The team for the Shannon-Foxton match to be played at Shannon tomorrow week, will be posted at the golf house; to-morrow. Members not able'to play are requested to notify the secretary..
