The British imperial Oil Co. has received a cable from their Melbourne office giving information concerning the forthcoming flight of the Italian airman, De Pinedo, who leaves home on Ist July on his 60,000 mile flight round the world. He is due to arrive at Easter Island from Valparaiso on Ist September, and from thence he will travel to Mangareva, Tahiti, Pago Pauo Suva. Noumea, Auckland, Wellington Dunedin, Hobart, Melbourne, Sydney’, Brisbane, Rockhampton, Cairns, iMerauke (New Guinea). Shell Motor Spirit will be used through i his entire flight. 1
