JUDGMENT AGAINST DR. THACKER.

CHRISTCHURCH, May 20. The hearing was continued before , the Magistrate this morning of a claim bv .Arthur Cyril Cross, an English chaffeur, against Dr. Thacker l'or £llO as damages for wrongful dismissal and arrears of wages. Counsel stated that the words “On account of Cross” were not on a certain cheque, for rent as stated by Dr. Thacker previously. Gross, recalled, denied that he had been present, at certain conversations lin England as stated by defendant. Neither had he told Dr. * Thacker that he was having a dog’s life in London. Judgment was given against Dr. Thacker on the claim and counterclaim.
